Valentine's Day Looks for $100 or Less

Looks for UNDER $100!Looks for UNDER $100!Whether you're getting ready for a romantic dinner, or to paint the town red with your besties, one thing's for sure...you should love your Valentine's Day outfit! We asked Brittney Levine, style and trend expert, to give us some head-to-toe tips for the special night. And here's something that will make your heart go pitter-patter...all of her looks are $100 or less!

Don't push your bank account into the red. There is no reason to spend a fortune for an outfit or accessories that you will only be wearing for a few hours while out with friends or on a romantic date. Don't feel the need to buy brand new pieces to debut just for February 14th. Instead, I suggest adding one specific piece to your wardrobe. For example, if you're buying a new dress, go through the possible shoe, tights, and jewelry options that you already own so you don't have to splurge on the compliments. For your date or party, you can also try out a new hairstyle or makeup trend to give your look something new!

"Break up" red and pink. Normally I am all for wearing red and pink together since color blocking is so in, but when it comes to Valentine's Day, I would avoid overdoing the color schemes, so you don't look like one big candy heart! Instead, I suggest subtly incorporating one shade into your outfit without going overboard. Throw in a loud, red shoe to spice up a sexy LBD, or a pink silk blouse in a fun shade to dress up your favorite jeans.

If you're not particularly interested in embracing red or pink this Valentine's Day, I'm loving creams and nude based colors as an alternative. We will be seeing a lot of these hues, and nude based slips with pops of colors underneath, going into the spring season, as well. These neutral palettes allow you to be sexy, in addition to letting you dress up whatever you're wearing with a statement necklace, loud pump or tights.

You can be stylish...and comfortable! If you're going out to dinner with your man, go for an outfit that is both flirty and comfortable! Try pairing a high-waisted skirt with a silky blouse. Pumps, flats, and boots all look great with this classic combo. (H&M Blouse, $17.95, Love Culture Tiered Banded Skirt, $12.90, Qupid Neutral 212 Bow Stiletto Pump, $27.90)
