Victoria BeckhamOne new trend for fall I've been coveting is leather skinny pants or leggings ...
From Mary-Kate Olsen to Victoria Beckham, who wore hers on a recent appearance at The View, celebrities are getting in on this trend in a big way -- and it's easy to see why.
They really put a twist on the leggings look, which once again is a staple for the fall season.

And while they're trendy now, a good pair of leather pants is always good for some occasion or other, at least once a year.
(Next rock concert at the Ryman Auditorium? I'm looking at you.)
The problem with my heart's desire is that leather leggings and pants are sooooo expensive. We're talking an average cost of $300.
Fortunately, I've found the look for less! Want to see it?

The affordable leather leggings I'm most likely to buy are these Leather and Ponte-Knit Leggings (Spiegel, $99). They're not cheap, but they're a much better price than any other leggings I've seen -- plus, Spiegel is always offering 30% off sales, so I'm going to try to catch them during one of those. I also love that they fit more like skinny pants than skin-tight leggings.
For those who are super-short on cash, check out these Mossimo Black Women's Faux Leather Leggings (Target, $29.99). Not bad for $30, eh?

Michael Kors offers a more upscale version of the look for less with these faux leather leggings (Saks Fifth Avenue, $79.50). DO NOT wear these as pants. Or I will have you committed.
So, what do you think of leather leggings? Yay? Or Nay?
