What is it with soap for "bad girls?"

Anyone remember Blue Q's whole Dirty Girl bath line? (Not to mention BeneFit's Bad Gal eyeliner...) Well, I just randomly came across Villainess, another clever marketing strategy aimed at, um, the idea that naughty ladies are just too poisonous to use vanilla Dove or something (?), but this smallish Tennessee-based company makes the darndest, cutest stuff. And just like your archetypal vamp, it's cheap, too!

The soap selection is unreal, both because all of them look so delicious and they have crazy dark names like Asphyxiate, Blood and Chloroform--ironically, they're so sweetly packaged, making them perfectly gift-worthy. I like Arsenic and Old Lace, a caramel soap that smells like black cherries, honeysuckle and gardenia (yuuuum) for $5.00; Whipped, a rich body lotion that comes in flavors like Dulces en Fuego, a blend of bitter chocolate, citrus, nutmeg and black pepper ($10.00); and Smooch, an oily body scrub that becomes milky and rinses clean in the bath, for the same price. (Even though they tend to have sweet foodie ingredients, they're balanced just the right way.)

In fact, the complexity of the scents is every bit as sophisticated as many far more expensive brands that've crossed these palms, and they have loads of different products available on their site, where you can handily shop. Plus they also have lots of items on sale, and other products like facial mud and makeup remover. Oh yes, and as always, the lack of preservatives and other yuckies is totally appreciated. I don't know what you're doing to me Villainess, but I like it, you naughty thing, you.
