Winter Coats To Fit Your Budget

Some wintry clothing inspiration under $200!
If you live in say New York or Chicago (or any other city where Jack Frost doesn't so much nip at your nose as he does punch you in the face every time you open the door), investing in a solid winter coat is a daunting commitment. Whichever coat you buy will be your most worn and weathered (pun intended) garment throughout the season. When you're feeling fickle, and can't decide if in three months you'll still like the coat you invested in, here's a round up of StyleCaster's favorite coats all under $200 to ease the pressure of choosing!

$170 for a cape? That's supposed to 'fit my budget'?

I thought the words 'ironically preppy' were perfect for that!

Let me just leave my two cents in on culture appropriation and word choice: "ironically preppy" are two words I don't want to hear, ever. No matter what they are describing, and especially not a cape.

AWESOME! Wow. I just was about to buy that EXACT same coat from Zara. WOW. That cape is so cute. A little pricey though which is why I didn't buy it, plus it's so trendy that it's not something I can wear season after season.

I would think UNDER a hundred dollars would fit a budget....??

Not really my style, but that model rocked it.

These coats are very "what's now" but not practical in the long run. How about a nice long womans wool walker coat - one that goes below the knee just a bit for wearing with dress suits/pants or dresses?

I expected to see some more classic styles that would last more than a season.

My budget is closer to 50-75$, even if I liked these, I couldn't get them.... (gotta love college.) ly way I'd go over is if it was a pea coat or trench, I'm using my moms pea coat from 25 years ago at the moment and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it.

That cape reminds me of the 60's....
