    The Worst Looks from New York Fashion Week

    New York Fashion Week ran from February 9 through February 16 in New York City's Lincoln Center. As the Fall 2012 season comes to a close, we're reflecting on the inspiring experience recalling opulent gowns, luxe textiles, and truly innovative designs that glided down the runway. But for some designers making a statement means creating something bizarre, unflattering, disturbing, or just downright hideous. Such ensembles may hurt the eyes, but they are highly amusing! Behold, the absolute worst ensembles that somehow graced the catwalks of New York Fashion Week.

      Do people make these things thinking they will actually sell? That people will wear them?

        Think of it like one of those car shows where they have concept cars and such. The concept cars themselves will never actually go into mass production, but serve to show off ideas and concepts the company is thinking of using for mass produced cars, depending on the feedback they get during the car show. Fashion shows are the same way, except replace cars with clothes.
