WTF news of the day: Paulina Porizkova fired from ANTM!?

Aw... and I really liked Paulina...

That's crappy. I thought she was a bit of a b*tch, but she was great at critiquing the girls....That's too bad. I liked her more than Janice.

Good riddance!

I actually didn't like Paulina at all, so I'm looking forward to see if she will be replaced or not. Though I am still an avid follower, the producers probably realized that they needed to change things up a bit, and they obviously can't get rid of the Jay's or Nigel, so Paulina gets the boot.

That's sad to hear Paulina was a nice addition to the panel.
But did they ever REALLY need two former models as judges anyways?
I don't think so. They have Tyra, and even Nigel used to model (It's no wonder because that man is FINE!) So that's all the help they'll need. Plus she can always be a guest judge if she wanted to. :\

i dont like the show but my daughter watches it... i think tyra is too overacting and is threatened by Paulina or anyone stealing the show from her... i used to like her but i don't anymore... she wants to be Oprah so bad... i agree with Karen's comment regarding Tyra, she always has to take the contestant's thunder...

I never really liked Paulina. She seemed set on playing that 'mean judge' role, with rude, inconsiderate, and hateful comments. I am shocked to see her go though, shocked, but sort of relieved.

And as for the whole Tyra being a diva thing, eh, that's just Tyra for you.

Paulina really was a bitch and I really dont like her but I have to say after a few episodes she did seem to be warming up as far as judging the girls with a more fair eye rather than the stupid obnoxious bitchy attitude she kept doing for ratings or whatever.It seemed like after a while her comments would get better if she was around for another season,along with the old has been bitchy resentful for the models still being able to be young attitude of course...I for one am just fed up though of everything being about Tyra and if you start to seem more intelligent than her(which doesnt take much lets face it)or more attractive then your axed ou of the show.And tyra is not entertaining at all,she just comes off as so fake and wannabe the center of attention all the time,even if another girl has done well and is geting her due praise for it.Tyra will try to suck the air from her moment.

I have to also admit. I am not sorry she is leaving. Yeah Tyra is getting to be a bit much at times. But it is her show. I thought Paulina was a little mean. I mean the last epsiode when she actually told one of the girls to her face that she was basically a hag and she shouldn't try so hard. There are ways of saying it. Yes even after Janice. Janice was just a bitch. But I don't know. Paulinagets on my nerves.

As if anyone is going to upstage Tyra the Terror? What exactly did Tyra model other than lingerie for Victoria's Secret before she gained weight and got on tv? She's obnoxious and arrogant and that's why Paulina is gone.

Models shouldnt judge other modles. The people who are looking at the pictures are not models. they are just average people from wherever
THOSE PEOPLE SHOULD JUDGE. but of course everyone still watches the show!

I aam not sorry that she is leaving. She annoyed me immensely (nice way of saying that I just wanted to shut her up everytime she spoke and I used to tune out whenever I realized she was going to talk)

I'm glad she got fired. I did not really like her, and she did have a huge ego!

Iliked Paulina, maybe she will pick up her own gig on some other network, she did give good solid advice to the girls and unlike Janice did not seem to judge based on what time of the month it was.

Paulina was one of my favorites. I'm going to be sad she's gone. They should just elimate having any guest judges. Just keep the main ones.

Paulina, stop going around bad mouthing your ex boss. You were fired, move on with a better attitude and you just might get a bigger and better job. You will never get anywhere playing the victim, having a bad attitude or looking desperate. Remember, you told the model on the previous ANTM show, “Looking desperate is not attractive". Yeah, I bet you never thought your own words would come back to bite you in the butt. A lesson for others, watch what you say in business and in life, because you never know who's listening.

BTW, Paulina is an avid knitter. She was even featured in an article in Vogue Knitting magazine. I think the judges have to be tough on the girls...it's just a sampling of what they will face in the world of modeling. The judges on Make Me a Supermodel are even more critical!!!

I wonder then if we'll see more of Beth Stern (the blonde model/wife of Howard who had a teaching spot with Mr. Jay)? She's been on Tyra Show several times and seems to be a new BFF. She's not a huge name and she might fit in to what Tyra wants for the show.

Its all publicity stunt!!

I will not watch the show again.
