Your Sneak Peek At The Rachel Zoe Collection!

    By Tracey Lomrantz, Glamour magazine

With her affordable QVC collection officially declared a success, Rachel Zoe is moving on to even bigger fashion ventures--a more luxurious line of clothing that she wants to compete with Diane Von Furstenberg and Alexander Wang! Wanna see what it looks like?

WWD got a sneak peek at the Rachel Zoe Collection, her new, more luxurious line of clothes which should hit stores for fall 2011. Prices are definitely steeper than her everything-under-$200 QVC line--WWD says, "The collection will be priced at the contemporary level, $250 for a day dress up to $700 for a full tuxedo look"--and she's hoping it will sell alongside the likes of DVF and Marc by Marc Jacobs.

And while Zoe may be known for oversized sunglasses and major accessory statements, she says this collection is not about her signature style. "I'd imagine everybody is expecting something from me that's kind of a Seventies, uberboho-glam kind of thing, and, you know, very accessorized. And it's not," she says. Instead, the paper reports, "The look is predominantly tailored in a chic albeit Seventies way. There's suiting galore, white jackets and blazers to wear with matching wool trousers that flare over the foot and fall to the floor for an extra-long leg. Variations on the tuxedo come in black-and-white sequined cardigans and a le smoking-esque jumpsuit. Tie-neck blouses are shot with gold Lurex, and party dresses come in frothy layers of organza. Then there's the outerwear - Zoe's 'obsession' - with an emphasis on capes done with leather trim and hardware toggles, as well as faux fur and leather coats with brass buttons."

Above are a few snaps to give you an idea...what do you gals think? Do you think Rachel Zoe, celebrity stylist, can become Rachel Zoe, legitimate designer? Do you think she'll do well at a higher price point? Which of these looks is your favorite? Discuss!
