    Flawless fitness makeup tips

Some women don't mind arriving at the gym au natural because they know they are going to sweat, snot and pant for hours. What's the point of wearing makeup just to wipe it away with a towel or leave it behind on a machine? (That's bad manners!) However, if you have an uneven skin tone like me, including dark circles and age spots, this seems like cruel and unusual punishment. You can wear minimal makeup that covers you and stays in place. Get flawless fitness makeup every time with these tips.

Start with clean skin. This is a kind of a rule for putting on makeup anyway but for fitness makeup it's especially true. You'll be sweating and opening your pores so avoid leaving dirt and debris on your face before working out. Working out with a dirty face might force that dirt down into the pores. I recommend using a gentle cleanser with little or no exfoliating ingredients. Creamy cleansers work the best.

Moisturize the skin lightly. With a light touch, moisturize the skin with an SPF-based moisturizer. This step is necessary because it helps the skin to grab the makeup and keeps your face from burning during a workout. The SPF ingredient protects the skin when you drive in your car. (Did you know that most car windows don't protect you from the sun?)

Tap on the tinted moisturizer. You're probably thinking, "Another moisturizer?" Yes! Tinted moisturizers don't really provide much moisture, the base product is just a carrier for the skin tint. Tap on the tinted product onto the chin, cheeks and forehead. Rub it in while the skin is still moist from the moisturizer. Blend it well around your jaw line.

Blot on the concealer. You don't want to go overboard here but if you have stubborn sun spots (like me) a tinted moisturizer isn't enough. Dab the spot with a concealer but don't rub it in too hard or it won't cover.

Touch the eyelashes with waterproof mascara. I usually skip the eyeliner but I must have mascara. Eyeliner will rub away but my eyelashes are invisible and need additional help. I always wear at least two coats of waterproof mascara.

Press the lips with tinted lip balm. Heavy breathing can leave your lips feeling dry. Roll on some tinted lip balm instead of lipstick. Lipstick is greasy and slides off easily. Balm is lighter and offers your lips some great benefits.
