    Top ideas for dinner tonight

If you are looking for a nontraditional chili recipe, try this hearty sausage, winter squash, salsa, and cannellini bean combination that can be prepared in less than 30 minutes. Garnish the chili with goat cheese and fresh sage and serve it with fresh baked biscuits for a winter warm-up.

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb. bulk sage sausage or your favorite sausage
    • 1 15-oz. can cannellini beans, drained
    • 1 12-oz. pkg. frozen winter squash puree, thawed
    • 1 cup chunky-style chipotle salsa or other salsa
    • 1-1/2 cups water
    • 1 3.5-oz. pkg. herb-flavored goat cheese, crumbled
    • Fresh Sage (optional)

    Directions

    1. 1In large saucepan cook sausage over medium heat until brown and no pink remains, stirring to break up; drain fat. Stir in beans, squash, salsa, and water. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve in bowls; sprinkle goat cheese and fresh sage. Makes 4 servings.

I had to made changes due of not finding frozen squash and can of beans, i know ,i know i live in Kyrgyzstan anyways ,i used fresh pumpkin i steam it and then i mash it i also used regular white beans put in in the pressured cooker to soften, measured 15 oz of it and added i also added a bit more salsa just because i like strong flavor and as others suggest i added the sage i boil it and then simme. as i write this i'm also having some it taste sooo good it does have the consistency of chilly
