I have the BEST pregnant costume idea! A friend of mine wore all black and got a large piece of french bread and either taped it or glued it to her middle. Her husband wore a chef's outfit. SO, the friend had a "bun in the oven" and the husband was "the baker." I thought it was adorable!

christina, you should make your baby a bun in the oven. get a box, decorate it to look like an oven, and put it over your stomach

Christina, Try a party in your pants. All you need is a hula hoop, LG sweat pants, some balloons and suspenders. Attach suspenders to hula hoop to hang around your waist, pull the sweat pants over the hoola hoop and fill with balloons. Then make some flyers that say, "you're invited to the party in my pants." You can even hide a little stereo or smart phone in your pants that plays party music.

College means I'm poor so last year for halloween I pinned my bedsheet into a toga, or chiton, bobby pinned paper snakes in my hair, and did some real dark eye make-up. Medusa makes for a real easy costume. This year I've been able to sew and cut up the sheet since it got a hole in one art and I have rubber snakes instead of paper. Still incredibly easy.

It's getting close to Halloween and I still have no idea what I want to dress up as. I've been looking at a bunch of different Halloween Costumes ., but it's just so hard to decide what I want to be. Maybe Lady Gaga or Super Girl?

you could also be a smartypants, just get some smarties and tape them to your pants, but I would just do the front otherwise the rest might get crushed if you want to eat them.

How about the T-1000 from Terminator 2? Aluminum foil circles on both sides of the body for 'damage' and a piece of cardboard shaped like a long blade, covered in foil for a 'stabbing weapon'. Or for couples, one dresses all in black with sad face paint, the other colorful with a happy face, and now you're Tragedy and Comedy!

who. cares. what. holmes. wore?! there are over 150 comment posts and people have been "correcting" the author since page 1, I THINK WE GOT THE POINT! If you know what Sherlock Holmes wore, use it! And as far as the spelling of dalmatian, who cares? you obviously knew what they meant so what's the difference? All cute costume ideas.

For another kind of schoolgirl you can use classes, a plain short (knee lenth or less), a shirt, a cardigan, long socks (I don't have knee highs so I used a pair of my husband's), and white tennis shoes or plain flats.

The pregnant costume is easy. One year my years ago when taking my daughter trick or treating. I dressed her up with a blue sheen pillow case with cut out eyes and mouth. she was a piece of chewing gum. I dressed up as a hobo off a train. Just put my hair up in pony tail, found a cap or big floppy dark hat, took black makeup and made my face look like it was a 5 day shadow with maraca or you can use car grease stick in the garage if your guy is handy with rides. Old ugly scarf around the neck or bandanna, big dark black, brown, gray, green or what ever pants and huge dark T shirt. Take some cloths or cloths tie them up in a bag or cloth of some sort. Tie that to a garden hoe, where the shape parts are inside the cloths and bag. unscrew a old broom or garden tool off it's handle. Some are put in with pegs, you can normally pull those out & hammer then back in later. Your a hobo.

One year made my own cat costume. Just cut out cat ears & head band from a plastic bottle. Band is already rounded for you. Make the ears big enough to bend under the ban so you can staple them to the band. Take fabric of any kind and glue it or staple it to the ears and band. Bingo Cat ears. Took some old gloves I had cut slits in the ends with scissors. Took one plastic lid out fo drawers I found. Cut cat claws and made sure to round them off at ends not to scratch someone. Slide those through ends of slits in gloves stapled them in place. Then took make of any kind from friends and family & made my cat face. Simple one not over done for like a party or something. Threw on old cloths. Put my ears and gloves on. Looked like a cat that just got done with a alley fight. LOL

You can make all kinda costumes with just simple at home stuff. Don't if for my children for years. We did it when we were kids. We ask our parents for stuff around the house they were gonna toss. Made something from the stuff they gave us.

Cristina - You can be a lumberjack! Ha, that's what i'm doing. Just wear flannel, boots and a winter hat!

Sherlock Holmes wore a deerstalker, not a Fedora. Fedora is more Indiana Jones.
