The other night at my kickboxing class, we did some quick and easy cardio moves that had my heart racing. Toss these moves into your day to blast calories, or between toning moves to get your heart rate up.
1. Tire Jumps- Start with a V-step. Step out with the right foot and out with the left. Then step back in with the right foot and in with the left foot. Repeat until you're comfortable. Now change the step out to a jump out. Bring that right knee way up and then the left. Think tractor trailer tires! Get those jumps up for 30 seconds. Go back to the v-step to catch your breath. Repeat, and switch so your left foot is your lead foot!

2. Skaters-Stand with feet shoulder width apart, arms extended at sides. Jump out to the side with your right foot, swinging your left leg behind your right. Left arm follows swinging in front of leg. Touch the floor with your left toe. Then jump your left foot out and swing your right leg behind your left. Right arm swings in front. Repeat for 30 seconds.
*Take it up a notch by bringing your hand down to the ground.

3. Knee Drives- Start with your feet wider than hip distance apart. Stagger your left foot slightly in front of your right. Extend arms overhead. Place your weight on your left foot, hold abs tight, and then drive your right knee across your body into your right elbow as your arms come down. Place right foot back down into start position, arms extend overhead. Repeat on same the side for 30 seconds. Switch sides.
*Take it up a notch by adding a jump. Jump left foot off the ground while right knee comes into your elbow.MORE FROM SELF:
