3 tips for how to live to 100

Your behavior now makes a difference, says new research. Experts recommend these habits:

    Get creative at work.

On average, a woman with a creative job has the cardiovascular fitness and other health attributes of someone six years younger, according to a recent study. What does "creative" mean? Acting, writing or painting are obvious picks, but any job can count as long as you find it interesting and it lets you develop new skills, experts say.

Make sure you cover the basics.

Eating five servings of fruits and veggies a day, being active, not smoking, and drinking in moderation could add 14 years to your life, according to new British research. Too tall an order? Tackle just the exercise part: A recent study by the National Cancer Institute found that older people who got at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week were less likely to die over the next seven years than those who didn't.

    Do something fun.

Women who are feeling "happy, excited or content" have lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol, as well as C-reactive protein and interleukin-6-two markers of inflammation linked to heart disease, a University College London study found. It may not take a Ph.D. to figure out that being happy is good for you, but this is one of the first studies to pinpoint a biological reason. So the next time you're feeling frazzled, make plans to do anything that'll get you smiling.

Exellent ideas reminded to all longevity seekers. And also we need to think about soil depletion and care more about geting enough whole food nutrients in our diet.

Whole food concept is very important -- it's what our body designed to absorb with minimum energy invested. I have found that whole food concentrates helped me alot to have much stronger body then before. I have been on organic healthy diet for many years but feel significantly better now while rebuilding my body with enough nutrients. And there is a big differense between combinations. If you'd like to have information about synergetic combinations of whole food concentrates, I can share: srlivefoods at yahoo.com. Very interesting and makes fantastic difference.

Happy and healthy day to all

To ivot split: I work 10 hours a day 5 days a week and sometimes nights and weekends and I have a spouse and a cat and a dog and neighbors and plants to water and I still manage to work out for 20 minutes every day. If I can do it, you can do it. Just wake up half an hour earlier.

Yes, as the saying goes "You are what you eat" The staff you consume may harm you or add some years to your life. So my friends who consume much alcohol and start having such slogans like "Badala ya kazi Tusker" Should now revard it to "Badala ya tusker kazi" and not just job but new enjoyable jobs, and this will keep the minds alert and fresh.
However to add on, the aging of our cells depend mostly on how much we expose them to heat. So those who take a cold shower have an advantage. So guys practice this and live longer. Or to have an objection?

I live in a retirement community with my mother as her caregiver. My mom has lived with a severe form of diabetes for over 50 years and has received a bronze medal from Joslin Clinic in Boston, a leading research clinic for diabetes. She takes her diabetes seriously - it's a full-time job for her. And she has a positive attitude. We have many other 100+ year-olds in our retirement community. The one who is probably the oldest is Mr. Sun, who is 105 and comes into the laundry room in just his shorts when he is washing his clothes. I think a sense of humor and shamelessness is a must if you want to live to be 100...
