    6 Superfoods for Heart Health

http://www.uasd.edu/pomegranatesymposium/pomegranate.jpghttp://www.uasd.edu/pomegranatesymposium/pomegranate.jpgThe bad news: Heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States. The good news: You can reduce your risk by 82 percent if you make the healthy lifestyle choices of being active, not smoking, eating well and managing stress. To help, we've gathered a list of some of the heart-healthiest foods out there. Bonus: They're yummy, too.

Grilled Salmon: The omega-3 fatty acids in oily fish like salmon and trout may reduce your risk of death from coronary artery disease. Experts recommend eating at least two four-ounce servings of fish a week.

The Three-Minute Heart-Health Check You Have to Take!

Curry: Turmeric, the herb that gives curry powder its color, has a powerful anti-inflammatory effect on the body. So why should you care? Inflammation has been shown to play a role in the development of heart disease.

Beans: There's a ton of fiber in beans, which can help ward off high cholesterol, a major risk factor for cardiovascular problems. (Black-bean burrito? Yes please!)

Pomegranates: Step aside, green tea! Pomegranate juice has four times the antioxidants of the much-lauded tea. All the better to fight heart disease, my dear. (Try thisheart-healthy pomegranate smoothie.)

Dark Greens: Folate, found in foods like broccoli and spinach, can slash your risk of high blood pressure. See, your mom knew what she was talking about. (Test Your Heart-Health IQ!)

    Olive oil:
Everyone loves butter, but in order to keep the richness in your food while also protecting your heart, try frying eggs and sauteing veggies in olive oil instead. The monounsaturated fats will serve your whole body better!

Pomegranates are great! Pom wonderful is the best and offers pom/blueberry, pom/mango, pom/cherry, and so if if you think it's too sour by itself.

all the above mentioned are good suggestions, however pale in comparison to the Acai berry. Especially a juice that my mother has been taking for 6 months. It has changed her life. She has heart trouble, arthritis, among others. She has been taking this juice and she has told me her arthritic symptoms have subsided 80%. Almost all the benefits from the foods above are included in this juice as well. Not to mention this juice transforms free radicals in your body back to healthy cells. It sounds like you cannot go wrong with this juice, Monavie. My wife and I have just signed up with my mother to get this juice, which is not cheap, but what is your health worth? 100/month, 150/month? how about $4 per day is all. If you want more info just email me dyno25@prodigy.net. God Bless and good health

Why is every single article about healthy food and dating directed towards women? Do the writers and editors not think men care about what they eat and the women they date? How biased and insane is that?
