    7 Questions About Exercise Every Pregnant Woman Should Ask

While some may be afraid to try exercising, it's best to talk to your doctor before you jump into things and to make sure you get the information you need even if you are an avid athlete. Exercise is not only great for you, but it benefits your unborn and keeps you feeling great!

    Whether it's your first pregnancy or fourth, here are seven questions I suggest asking your doctor when it comes to exercise. It's always good to cover all your bases!

    Your doctor should have some great suggestions for you to begin a daily exercise program. While my doctor suggested to get moving now or never, you may want to double check. Most of the time they want you to exericse because it lowers blood pressure, and inactivty contributes to excess weight gain.

    If your gym has a pool, I would head to it first or stick to walking on the elliptical and treadmill. However, your doctor may give you the okay to use anything. Depending on your pregnancy, and how active you are, I would always double check.

    Double check with your doctor before you jump on a machine. In my experience, intense weight training can cause you to be dizzy and may even increase blood pressure. I suggest taking it slow or stop when you feel dizzy. It seems to happen to me often!
