"Corn is feed for cows and pigs not food for humans. Corn goes in and comes out in the same form, the body does not break it down."

Wrong! It's the outer part of corn that isn't digested. Not to be gross, but that's the part you see in the toilet once it passes through you. The inner kernel is digested by humans just fine and does actually have some nutrients. It's not the most nutritious veggie, but to say people can't digest it is just an urban myth and completely untrue.

In addition, corn is a veggie that helps with our "happy" chemistry - I believe it increases serotonin levels,(help me out if I am mistaken) so we should eat more in the winter months!

This is the stupidest list I've ever seen. No one I know thinks any of these things are even remotely bad for you. The only exceptions might be chocolate and coffee, and even then pretty much everyone I've met knows they're good for you in small doses. All-around bad list.

Peanut butter - Peanuts are a high allergen due to mold that grows in storage. Most commercial peanuts/butter are roasted, which kills off some of the nutrients and denatures the fat. Our hormones are made from consumed fats, so if what we eat is denatured, then it can cause hormonal problems. Consumption of nuts in general should be kept to small amounts due to the concentrated amount of fat, which has over double the calories of carbs.

Eggs - Eggs are high in cholesterol but are a complete protein. The BETTER egg to consume are brown fertilized organic free-range vegan-fed chickens' eggs as the nutrients are more dense and there is less change of salmonella issues.

Beef - Commercial beef is a sad thing The way the animals are killed sends adrenalin through their system and makes the beef taste different. Beef is hard for the human to digest as humans usually don't have a sufficient amount of or acidic enough hydrochloric acid count to properly break it down, so there can be a remminance of it seated immediately amove the belt buckle. Better choice is free-range, grass fed, small amounts not every day. Or none at all.

Chocolate - Chocolate is 70%+ fat - a very condensed high-calorie nutrient. In addition, most commercial fat of a very poor grade to keep the cost down. High-heat processing denatures the fat and makes it less usable by the body. Also, it's a very high bleached sugar product, something which pulls nutrients from the body. Why put Arco gas into a Lamborghini? There is RAW chocolate which has way more nutrients, but again is high calorie.

Potatoes - The way Americans eat potatoes, no wonder it has a bad rap. But in a sense, they are high starch and this is not good for us when it comes to blood sugar regulation. Usually it comes loaded with tons of fat from either butter, sour cream or deep frying in fat. All bad. But it has a decent calcium content.

Coffee - Coffee is very acidic and makes your body more acidic. Health exists at a slightly alkaline state. In roasting, the beans become slightly carcinogenic as well, so it's another thing your liver has to deal with. In addition, coffee triggers your adrenal glands into a sort of fight-or-flight mode, and over time can wear them out, causing adrenal fatigue and all the related health problems to go with it. There is one great use for coffee, namely a coffee enema. No joke - it purges the liver and helps detox everything else you've done to it.

Trail Mix? - Good fiber, high calorie from the fat, potentially high allergen. Roasting denatures the fat. Can cause constipation.

Bread - White bread is about one of the worst things you can eat nutritionally speaking. Whole grain bread is a slightly better choice, but you need to understand that today there exists a huge allergy to gluten, a protein found in wheat, rye, barley.

Corn - Ca. 90% of corn grown in the U.S. is genetically modified, meaning your body isn't quite sure what to do with it. That means you don't digest it like normal food. Also, the molecular structure can damage your tissues. Watch the movie "King Corn".

My work here is done. :-)

I am diabetic and also osteoporotic and had athritis. All the foods mentioned i.e., chocolates, coffee, nuts, etc. are said to be bad food for me according to my Internist and I wonder if I am also allowed to eat these food. Are there medical advises to take these? However, eating in moderation perhaps still to be considered.... "life enjoyment towards a healthy living".

no seriously, every couple of years the so called experts tell us what to eat, what not to eat. first it was low fat, high carb, then high protien, low fat, then low carb, low fat, high protein then mediterranian diet, then it was vegetarian, ad nauseum.. you know what? I 'm gonna just eat what I like. I found out when I was forty years old that I have been eating hamburger all my life and I don't even like it. no diet I have ever been on has worked, and I don't overeat, buy junk food, eat at drive thrus, drink sugary drinks ( I have always hated coke) I conclude I am fat because all the wwomen in my family are fat. genetics. that's the truth.

WOW! It's obvious that people who are spending too much time on their computer &/or trusting Yahoo for their health info, NEED to READ more! People, get off your duffs and buy a book or magazine authored by REAL experts in the field. You could accomplish the same for free at your local library! Current magazines and cookbooks are a really great source for current research and positive interpretations for your life. I found it disturbing to hear how ill educated people are.

Beef is good for some people. If you have a disease that affects myelin, like CMT(Charcot Marie Tooth disease) beef and eggs are foods to eat because of the choline and inositol, and B-12 (beef). Humans are omnivores. Eggs are excellent for you too; there is no relationship between the cholesterol in eggs and coronary artery disease. The body uses cholesterol to create myelin, without myelin the body cannot carry messages between the brain and the body.
