YOUR FRIENDS' ACTIVITY

A portion control product I actually use.

    Fact: size matters.

Especially when it comes to eating right, when a proper portion is the only thing that stands between a "treat" and a "binge." But portion control products usually feel like (tiny) prisons for my favorite foods... Who wants to eat ice cream out of a thimble?

So I surprised myself when, a week after receiving a portion-focused bowl in the mail, I was still using it to pour my AM cereal! I pulled a Cristin Dillon this morning and took a pic of my breakfast to prove it: Precisely one cup of Kashi's newest cereal, Heart to Heart Warm Cinnamon Oat Cereal:

kashicereal.jpg The Measure Up Bowl is a super-subtle way to stop myself from going overboard on cereal which is, in my opinion, the purpose of getting out of bed in the morning (as a growing pre-teen I one time ate six bowls of Cheerios in one sitting!). So, I can track calories without any middle-man measuring cups or an obnoxious "hello, I'm on a diet" dish. I've only used it for cereal so far, but I imagine it would also be useful for pasta, ice cream and other good-in-moderation foods.

You can order the bowl here, but it's back ordered for now (guess I'm not the only one seduced by its subtle, slimming powers), so be sure to bookmark the site and check back!
