I hate to exercise & I think most people DO hate it.. although I have a coworker who struts around the office bragging about how she gets up at 5 am & works out every morning before she gets ready for work & she feels so great.. well good for you.. I personally think its a load of BS ... she is an attentinon w***e anyhow

It's exactly what Deadlift said. Personally, I love to work out. I could do it 7 days a week except on weekends I am stuck home with my two severely disabled/autistic children.

I have been accused in the past of being an exercise addict. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Heh.

Michelle, that worked for me too!!!! I walk for about an hour a day with our new dog and I don't think I have lost weight yet, but I do feel good!

Whether exercise is boring or interesting depends on the exercise and one's attitude and purpose for it. Monotonous, repetitive motion like jogging, ellliptical, jump-rope or even mindlessly pushing against a machine without any particular goal except to go as long, burn as many calories or do as many reps as possible WILL bore and kill the motivation of any normal person. But if you choose exercises and goals that stimulate the most important muscles of the body - including, incidentally, the one between the ears - then the whole experience will much more exciting, stimulating and interesting enough to keep you going your whole life. Like all predators, humans are supposed to move in short, intense bursts. Prey animals move monotonously and methodically. When a predator behaves like a prey, it's against his very nature, which triggers his body and mind to rebel against the activity, even if the exact reasons are not obvious. Stop eating and exercising like a cow and start living like a tiger - and you'll transform your physical and mental health. How do predators exercise? The deadlift. Check out deadlift dot info for suggestions.

I am NOT a FAN of working out over all.. I do it because I feel better physically and mentally, and I look better.. I have been able to get rid on all my aches n pains by working out, so I push forward.

I HATE INSANITY workout.. The most BORING program EVER.. They could have done a better job.. BUT... I get results, so I endure.. I LIKE Chalenes Total Body Blast overall.. And her Turbo Blast is fast and easy to get through.. Turbo Fire is an easy to get through program.. Not a fan of P90X, it focuses too much on upper body not all over body.. I can do Yoga without being a hater, but it tends to bother my wrists, so do not do it all the time.. I do Ball Dancing for FUN all over workout, but mainly core.. Use my own music, blast it for over an hour, GREAT core workout. I also do so in place dancing when I stand and read stuff online. When I have a gym workout, I go between the ellipticals, and treadmill, classes, and my own floor work.. Mixing it up is key, otherwise I get BORED and do not put out the best effort..

Some people get physical pleasure from exercise. They tend to be unsympathetic to the rest of us who get no pleasure from exercise.

Some people push "no pain no gain". Making it painful makes it easy to hate exercise.

My compromise is to get on the stationary bicycle when I'm at my mental low point. It's boring so I chose a time of day when that does not matter. I'm an afternoon person so for me it's first thing in the morning. And I don't subscribe to the "no pain no gain" theory. I built up very gradually over a period of months. By the end of my ride I'm sweating freely but in no pain.

I despise working out. It's boring - even with music or television or a book or a friend. I have no motivation to get myself on the stair master or treadmill or whatever.

So you know what I did? I got a dog. Actually, hubby and I wanted a pet, but one of the hidden benefits for me was the exercise! I HAD to take him out everyday or my pup was an energetic mess! Before too long, I'd dropped 10 lbs and was feeling great. I walk him for an hour a day and if I ever feel like not going out, I look in his little face and think of all the socks he will devour if I don't help him get his exercise and then swoosh! I'm out the door. BEST. IDEA. EVER.

JoeBlow has the right idea. I also agree whether you hate it or like it, at least DO IT and do it on a regular basis. Exercise is as important to life as families, friends and jobs. Without good health you have nothing.

Maybe not "like" to workout, but at least like the thought of the results. "I'm gonna be SO fit and strong and powerful by doing this, not to mention better looking".

But if you CAN find something you can at least tolerate, it will make things that much easier.

Guess I'm lucky in that I like to exercise, even find it fun and enjoyable. Run, hike, ski and play soccer.

It's OK to hate working out !

Gripe about it, but gripe with ENTHUSIASM. Work out with other people who hate working out.
Complain together ! Cheer about how much you hate it. LAUGH. Hey was that 15 minutes already ? We can do that again.

Too many fitness experts insist you should enjoy a workout. NOT TRUE ! Enjoy hating exercise, that's just as good. As long as you're having fun SOME how you'll get the exercise done.

If I was forced to tell someone a secret I would tell them that I fart every time I change yoga poses.

haha. I love to exercise, but I just don't eat right. I think I need some hypnotherapy to make me hate sweets and junk food. That might help.

I have done it all, i hate exercising anymore.. compromise by walking briskly daily , smiling, eating less and healthier choices, dont miss aching after a workout and getting too buff that I Cannot wear blouses.. Just as long as I am aerobically fit and can keep up with heavy breathing during a good sexual encounter!
