When Julia Lemigova, former Miss USSR and the founder of the new-to-the-U.S. luxury skin care line Russie Blanche (now available at Clyde's in New York City and the Delano Hotel in Miami), gave me this skin care tip that tightens and deflates puffiness at lunch yesterday, I suddenly wanted to order an iced tea to go and bolt out of the restaurant. It's good.

One of the tricks she picked up from her mother while growing up in Russia is to make tea with filtered water and a chamomile teabag, then pour into an ice cube tray and freeze. The next morning, grab two of the cubes and gently massage your face, starting around the eye area (where the bags are), then smoothing over cheekbone, chin, and forehead. The cold factor combined with the flavonoids in the tea will help with any swelling or inflammation, leaving your skin looking tight and feeling nourished.

What a refreshing way to wake up your skin, especially during the warm months, no? Now don't you want to send her a thank-you note?
