Demi Lovato is already starting to make her wish list for her 21st birthday in August, and here's what's on it so far:
Yep! She tweeted the wish for a more realistic Barbie to her more than 14 million followers, asking them to send the idea on to Barbie's official Twitter account.

With legs up-to-there and a teensy-tiny waist, Demi's right: Barbie's proportions aren't exactly what you'd call like a real woman's. In fact, according to rehabs.com, if she were a real woman, Barbie's skinny neck wouldn't even be able to lift her head, and only a few inches of intestine and half of a liver could fit into her 16-inch waist. Plus, her six-inch ankles and kids' size-3 feet wouldn't enable her to actually walk upright--she'd have to crawl around on all fours.

Rehabs.com reports that 1 in 10 children already has an eating disorder by the time they enter high school, and that half of 9- to 10-year-olds "feel better about themselves when they're dieting"--which means that Barbie's body may be especially influential. Demi herself says that she just about stopped eating altogether by the age of 12, but that "my eating disorder will continue to affect me for the rest of my life, but I'm proud to say that I got the help I needed and am now the happiest and healthiest I have ever been!"
So what do you think about Demi's dream of a Barbie with a more realistic body type? Were you influenced by the doll's image when you were younger?
