Perhaps no dental debate is more hotly contested than the power vs. manual toothbrush discussion. Even scientists are trying to shed light on which tool works best. But a Cochrane review of studies gives only a modest edge to power brushes -- with more research needed for conclusive answers.
So while experts continue to debate, there is one point on which they agree: Timing is everything. You can remove most of the plaque on your teeth with just about
any brush -- as long as you work it over all surfaces for no less than
2 minutes, twice a day. And floss at least once.
