I make my own trail mix with almonds, cashews, pistachios, and dried (unsweetened) cranberries. I love the crunch of it, and the flavor. It also kills my hunger pretty quickly since it's so high in protein.

I find myself needing to eat a lot more frequently now that I'm pregnant. Without fail, every two hours I get hungry. Not hungry enough for a full-on meal, but definitely hungry enough to need to eat something. About two weeks ago, I started carrying snacks with me at all times. Nothing is worse than being without food when that hunger quickly sets in - and it really does come on fast. One minute, I'm totally fine. And the next minute, I'm starving. Because I'm trying to eat as much food as possible that has purpose (a.k.a. food that is nutritional for the growing twins inside of me), I'm mostly sticking to healthy snacks that are packed with nutrients and all sorts of goodness. Sure, I have the occasional cookie, but for the most part, it's quality eating for three over here. - By Aela Mass
