Angelina Jolie reportedly takes her role as a U.N. goodwill ambassador seriously--so much so that she reportedly fasts during trips to meet the world's poorest. "She says, 'If they can't eat, I can't eat,'" a source said to US Magazine. (The article also goes on to say how worried Brad is that Angie eats so little sometimes.)
She may have great intentions, but is fasting safe? The answer, according to experts, is yes and no. First of all, if you're pregnant or have any number of health conditions, you're best to avoid fasting entirely. But, some health experts say that controlled fasting can be a healthy move for some, but never for long periods of time, and not as a part of a weight loss plan.
