LetsFCancer.com is a Canadian-based charity created by Yael Cohen, whose mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2009.
What she felt was so greatly missed was a supportive and totally open community . A non-profit based on community and detection versus research . "Beyond education, I wanted community. I wanted to create a safe space for people to say what they were actually feeling, not what society told them they should be."
The website, letsfcancer.com has a very detailed symptoms chart to help encourage early detection of most kinds of cancers. (A little side warning to hypochondriacs, use this chart practically). Ninety percent of cancers are curable if caught in stage one. Ninety percent!
Did you know that 90 percent of cancers are curable if caught in stage one? That's a huge percentage, but unfortunately, so many early signs are missed or are not seen as potential symptoms of cancer.
LetsFCancer.com, a nonprofit devoted to encouraging early detection has come up with cheat sheets for nearly every type of cancer, as well as an interactive body chart to sum up your symptoms and see if you need to get checked.
While hypochondriacs might be a little overwhelmed, the average person is going to find a plethora of information on the site, including techniques for self-exams (breast and testicular).

Founder, Yael Cohen's mother sported the shirt when she was battling breast cancer, and although she wasn't the type of woman to normally say the F word, she was the type of woman to put everything she had into her fight against cancer.
