    Help for wet, smelly shoes

Nothing puts a damper on a morning run like a pair of athletic shoes that are still moist from the day before. Likewise, no kid wants to hit the soccer field or tennis court in shoes that hold sweaty traces of earlier workouts. Wet shoes and boots used to spend a lot of time propped in front of heStuffitts dries and deodorizes shoesStuffitts dries and deodorizes shoesating vents after those soggy days. Not anymore. Daily Grommet has found an easier (and much less unsightly) way to remove moisture and keep shoes smelling fresh. It's called Stuffitts. These brightly colored, foot-shaped inserts are made out of highly absorbent eastern red cedar. Just slip them in your athletic shoes after a workout, or in your loafers after a sock-less summer day. Within an hour, 60% of the moisture will be gone. That's eight times faster than regular air drying.

The founder of Stuffitts is Mike Huebner, who was determined to find a better way Mike Huebner, StuffittsMike Huebner, Stuffittsto dry his running shoes and make them last longer. He tried to find a pair of cedar inserts that he had purchased years before, but the company had stopped selling them. So Mike bought the business and leftover inventory, then gave the product a fun, fresh makeover. The result is Stuffitts. Each insert consists of a removable moisture-wicking fabric cover, with a cedar core inside. There's also a handy carrying strap. They're available in four unisex sizes for kids and adults. So go ahead, jump in that puddle, play baseball in the rain, or take one more run down the sledding hill. Just make sure you have your Stuffitts handy.

I have rebuilt shoes for 33 years anyway that Keeps Heat OUT of the drying process helps preserve the shape and conditiion of shoes almost all the cements that are used in Manufacture of shoes are Heat sensitive too much heat breaks bond between layers, people try wrong cements and it results in stiff leather or Plastic coated cloth that irritates skin.

Baking soda in a sock will wick away moisture and won't cost a fortune either.

Love my Stuffitts shoe savers! I'm training for a mini marathon, and using these after a run in the rain, my running shoes are dry and stink-free when I need to put them on again the next day. These things ROCK!

As for smelly sneaks, just cut a Bounce dryer softener sheet in half, put each half into sneaks, no more smelly. Works. For really smelly ones (shame on you), use a whole sheet in each shoe. I use them in my Sunday-Go-Meeting sneaks so as not to offend. (And, wash the dang things sometimes.)

Get a bottle of colloidal silver at the health store or buy a medical grade spray (they use it to discenfect for staph & other stuff), and spray into your shoes. They will NOT smell for months. I put it in my no sock wearing leather boat shoes and no smell what so ever. I only had to put less than a tablespoon in each one and only re applied once in a year. And NO your feet will not turn blue from Argyia. That's a medical/big pharma scare tactic cause they know it's major competition for their money machine.

Thanks for all the support - we thought this was a smart, sensible product (especially if you're a mom of 2 boys like I am!). Smart Bounce trick "AB," and I'll have to try that too - and thanks for your tips too Cobra!
