Wow...My kind of PEEPS. Your posts all made me giggle. Thanks. And your all Right. If you don't allow your self to eat some thing eventually your just going to go out and pig out on it. Yes we should work out every day but why not make it a nice brisk walk and maybe some light stretching in the evenings. No Fruit or sugar. No way. I love my coffee and I don't like it Black. I eat right 6 days a week and try and work out light.. and on Fridays we order pizza. Yes the extra cheese and pepperoni kind, and I eat as much as I want. I just don't eat it the next day. Some weeks I may want a big fat steak or burger king...But only once a week. I don't feel guilty, I don't get fat and it works for me. I stick with fruit, whole grains, fish and no white flour on my "On" days. On my off day I eat what ever I want. So I get a little constipated,,,it's totally worth it. I am a comfy 128 pounds more or less. And yes. If the pants don't fit and my giggle is out wiggling I won't ware them...just looks nasty. Get pants that fit,,,Just not the Mommy Jeans...no woman deserves to have to ware those. If I were still 20 I may worry about if I would look Hot in a mini skirt, but I look good for a Mom of 4 kids that works every day. Plus my husband loves me no matter what I look like. I am the one who puts my self down if I think I'm getting a bit chunky... How to fit & feel good in your own mind!" Get me a diet or a book for that problem.....Keep the posts coming..Your all Great....! Wendy in NY

If you want to lose weight the first thing a person must do is stop eating refined and fried foods. Eat fruit, vegetables(fresh is best),and nuts and drink plenty of water. The fruits give you a natural energy and the vegetables&nuts make you feel full and reduce food cravings, and all are good for the digestive system. Water is good for everything! Stop drinking sodas and find news ways to move more often. The more water you drink and the more you move...... the faster the your energy levels will rise, you will fill better overall, and begin to lose weight in a healthy & sustainable way. Remember..... Health is a lifestyle not a diet.

This is the typical body builder style diet, that does work but I found not long term. Also there is no vegetarian allowances; I don't want to eat that much animal protein. I do understand that stabilizing your blood sugars while lowering caloric intake is key to fat loss, but you must be able to maintain it or you'll end up with that muffin top once again.

As a personsl trainer (Ballys) for some 15 yrs and a pro natural bodybuilder (Mr. Wisconsin 97,08)I can say that the article is a overly ambitious and a little unrealistic in todays fast paced, busy and time restraining world. Who is gonna workout for 45min 4-5 days a week???? Come on Mr celebrity trainer youre outta touch with the real world. I could post 4 ever on this subject but will only say 2 those who want to improve their look to somehow find a goal (vacation, photo shoot, that new dress etc) that will give you mental motivation first then on the days you just cant cant do the 45 min workout the starry eyed guy above recommends then start with 15min 2-3 days per week. I'd recommend a reputable metabolism booster to help speed progress.

I agree with everyone else here... that cutting out way too much i'd rather workout really hard and cut back a little bit not do all that mess

Any diet or 'nutrition' plan that says "No Fruit" is bogus. Fruits and vegetables are the healthiest things you can eat! Not to mention you need fat in order to lose fat, so really it's not about how much fat you eat but what kinds of fat you eat and the one found in salmon is not the only good kind.

wow, no fruit or dairy...too constricting of a diet for me. good thing i never aspired to be a supermodel...

      Amen to TLWGal!

Seriously - buy clothes that fit and... gasp...wear a belt if you need it! I can give myself muffintop when I haven't put a belt on and my pants sag, but when I get them in the right place they fit and muffintop magically disappears. (Also, maybe try to wear a slightly higher rise pant - low rise pants tend to creep down more!)

However, this isn't saying it's bad to be firming up your middle - I know I need to! It's just that your clothes not looking right is at mostly your judgement when it comes to buying, the rest comes from your body's shape. But you can dress to flatter ALMOST any figure, at least to a degree.

Lets talk about how to keep your sanity when trying to lose your muffintop (LOL) . Is it that hard to love ourselves as we are? Are we that obsess that we pickout every flaw about ourselves and then blame it on self esteem. I am pro health but beating yourself up for five or ten pounds seem a bit much

I totally agree! Let's be realistic here. Only a VERY small portion of the population have a supermodel's body. And, that body is genetic. I used to have an eating disorder as well. I'm currently 5'1 and 120 pounds and am damn proud of it! I've worked hard to come back to a comfortable weight and I feel good about putting food in my mouth. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, whole eggs (yes! includes YOLKS), soy milk and a variety of lean meats. My recommendation to anyone is to live an active and healthy lifestyle by increasing physical activity and stick to your portions. I eat sweets as a treat for working hard, so don't deprive yourself!
