YOUR FRIENDS' ACTIVITY

I bought the AbCoaster and it is incredible!

I went ahead and did it - after using the commercial-grade version at my health club, and weeks of seeing the Infomercial, I bought the home unit. I simply want to share my experience because I have never been on an ab machine that comes close. I guess I should call the company and ask for a % for this post.

What it does is sorta combine the hanging leg raise (that only experienced gymnasts and weightlifters are able to do effectively without straining the lower back) and the preachers chair leg lift (my back cannot take this either). The other problem with those exercises as well as the crunch machine at the health club, is that well before my abs are worked to failure, my lower back is burning and I have to stop.

It was a bot pricey ($399) - but delivery was included and it is really built well! Check it out -

Probably best to have other equipment to "round out" your workouts if this is to be part of a home gym. You can do more "hanging leg lift" type movement with this than trying to hang from a chin-up bar, that is fo sure.

If machines keep you motivated, check it out. Plus, some people have problems doing floor crunches. Of course, one must understand there is no such thing as "spot fat reduction," so eat your veggies and do your intervals work. Most of the "negative" reviews seem to come from people that seem to be using the ab coaster incorrectly. E.g. it probably won't help build strength that much if you let momentum move you.

Otherwise, I've also read about how it might not be meant for people who are too short. Some pros and cons here, but mostly positives: http://abcoasterinspector.com

Yes, you will lose inches...IF you are using both the machines and a healthy eating plan. I am using the Food Lovers Fat Loss system - have lost 15 pounds - now kicking in the Ab Coaster, which is a great quality machine, and I am seeing the inches drop also. Lost 3 inches so far!! 90% of my weight problem was in my belly...bad for your heart....so, that is the main area I am working, doing the elliptical also. You can get as healthy as you want with just those two machines and the right eating plan. If you are looking to bulk up - which I am not - go to the gym. In a word or two - It Works!

How hard is this on the knees? And do your hands have to hang on for dear life while your biceps pull you forward?

I have never used this machine but I can say this. Quite a few years ago I bought a Total Gym and it comes with a pull up bar and you could do a similar exercise with it. It doesn't list it as one of the exercise (it's more of a improvised thing) but a few years ago I had the idea of using it in such a way. I could tell you that it worked for me extremely well, so well in fact that I decided to use it as my regular ab work out. This looks like a more comfortable way of doing it since it's actually meant for it. I think everyone should give it a try at least, I will soon. You could try it on a Total Gym (if you have one) but while it seemed easy and safe for me to do it (and still does) on the Total Gym, I recommend to be careful cause it wasn't designed for it.

I guess it was stupid of me but I never thought of designing a stand alone machine for this but should have. I've been doing this exercise for years and now I'm disappointed with myself.

Motormouth - No knee pressure whatsoever. You dig your elbows in to the angled pad, so you are NOT hanging on "for dear life".

Little or no arm work as long as your positioning is correct and your upper body remains "still".

I have discovered that you can get cardio as you advance in # of reps and sets. I got up to 3 sets of 100 reps without added weight and am now using 5 lb weights (x2) and will try to work back up to the same reps / sets. It takes about 20 minutes to complete the sets.

I still cannot get over how incredible this thing is. My back is looser, stronger and has not felt this good in years!

My stomach is flatter and more defined, lost about an inch to an inch and 1/2 off waist.

I bought it about 2 months ago and you can feel the difference. Gets getting use to but overall its very effective. There a page of why you should order it on there site: http://abcoaster.com/why.php
Really nicely explained and it made it easier to understand why it works on several parts of your abdomen. Cool stuff!

I bought the ab coaster about a month ago!
I love it! I feel the burn in my upper and lower!
Doing the side crunches are yummy!!
If u isolate and go slow on the way down u will
feel it!! My pants are fitting better! I am a very busy woman , I don't have the time
to always hit the gym. So I hit my ab coaster!
No regrets! The side crunches are my favorite !
My back has never felt better!

I just bought an AbCoaster and I'm not getting the hang of it. I'm used to doing ab work in a reclined or seated postion on my Total Gym and getting results. I've used the AbCoaster thrice now and I seem to be mainly working my quads. No soreness in my abs at all. I'm VERY disappointed. And it IS tough on my bad knees.

      This is for : awilson1776 -

Yes the AbCoaster is very effective. Yes - you have to put the work in; but it provides the most efficient ab workout I have ever experienced.

Many things are effective (crunches, knee/leg reaises, etc.) - but come along with back discomfort and a high degree of difficulty which diminish the potential results. The Ab Coaster not only eliminates those issues, allowing more isolated ab work to be foloowed thorugh with because the back, neck are not hurting, but it also allows tighter contracting and wider area worked - especially when using the side to side motion for obliques. Go to the "press" part of the site to see professional non- biased reviews and articles. www dot abcoaster dot com

I'm concidering of bying the abcoaster, but I'm getting mixed reviews... Can someone tell me if you really loose inches at the stomach area by still eating your regular meals. And if so how many set of 30 do you need to do and how many days in one week. Thanks Chris

I have read many comments about the abcoaster, and everybody talks about its quality, and how to use it and and so forth, but few if any are talking about the most important question, IS IT EFFECTIVE. What I would like to hear about is descriptive details about how it is working at its goal, is it really having an impact on the stomach muscles, all of them.
