A study published in the Online Journal of Health and Allied Sciences reveals that regularly popping in earphones significantly increases bacterial growth in the ear, which could lead to painful ear infections. And in more shudder-inducing news, researchers discovered that bacteria could jump from one person's ear to another's via earbud. Harmful bacteria was found on 92 per cent of earbud sharers, compared with only 8 percent of those who shared less frequently.
Do you share earbuds with anyone? Does this news gross you out? Are you going to start disinfecting your earbuds now? (I might!)
