I have Lupus, and like many of us that have Lupus, we can't stay out in the sun for very long. I only have a mild form of it though, but I still need to be careful. It also confuses me about my diagnosis.
Why? Mainly, this is one of many invisible diseases out there today. Read "The Spoon Theory" by Christine Miserando, In the book, she explains to her best friend about her Lupus, using spoons. Someone with Lupus only has so much energy during the day, and when she/he has no more energy, she/he becomes ill.
Also, many women, more than men get Lupus, and African-American women are a high-risk.
