Getty ImagesIt is one thing to commit to moving your body and an entirely different thing to commit to loading up your MP3 player on a regular basis. I say, choose your commitments wisely. When you are totally fed up with all that JT and Carrie Underwood blaring through your ear buds, why not let someone else do the programming for you?
OK, no one is going to jump in your hard drive and magically download tunes for you while you are meditating serenely or putting the kids to bed or trying to remember how many Weight Watcher Points seven slices of bacon are. The next best thing, though, is finding a hot playlist online that is yours for the taking. Let other folks figure out how to time the warm up and cool down, what the transition song should be from reggae to Britney and how many songs you need to really burn it up. Your only work is in the download (well, and the actual working out to the playlist).
This week's stolen playlist is courtesy Elastic Waist. The lovelies there have created an "icy? HOT!" homage to the longest winter ever. This mix had me shaking it from beginning to end, even while I was outside shoveling the walk for the fourteenth time this week. Now, if I can only erase the shame of hitting my target heart rate right when I was belting out a little Miley Cyrus.
