The comment of Shri Jairam Hon, Minister about IIT, IIM ABOUT THE FACULTY is appreciable in the interests of our country as to why?

It is well known that the country is producing in thousans the IITs and IIMs yearly from the most intelligent and delligents youths of India but to say it is only due to the Institutes and not to the credits of the brilliant youths that the product of engineers and buziness managers personalities are from the world class Institutes is not justified in the real sense. As most of the tops amongsts the products have to leave for foreign countries to become and serve the purpose of utility to the latest demand in the various fields in the world.. But those left in india are to serve as not befitting their supposed qualifications for the modern Industries and multinatioinal companies. Because of non availability of higher educations and infrastructure in the Institutes, lacking in the staff too ie without the latest knowledge and reseach work to guide to the students for any utility to the country which is self explainatory that in our country in India rarely any product or process is bing adopted in our Industry successfuly. As an example I may point out the case of Yamuna river cleaning project that has being under consideration for more than five years and this project have also been referred to NIREE and IITs to advise and desighn the project but none of them could do any positive step in this direction but put a huge money demand for taking the project in hand and that too as an experiment only. Where as at one environment Engineers meet at Agra on this subject was held and some important papers were presented on this subject refferring to cleaning of rivers at USA and at other countries but those papers it seemed could not be appreciated by IIT and NEEREE institutes as they said i is ony on papers but not so practical that could be tried at India. Though at that Time the commissionerand the DM wre very much interested and had taken pains to understand the practical aspects of the scheme as in USA is working. That it is sufficient to support Mr Jai Ram rather to critisiece him for asuggestion and remark.
