I soooo wish my mom (and her whole generation) had been like you are with your daughter. She will ROCK because of you. (and hey - can I borrow your biceps - they are hot!)

      Love,
      Sarah

      MizFit says:

      I KNOW.
If only we could bottle the feeling.
put it in a lotion? for those days when we're feeling more like grownups than the toddlers we wish to be? :)

Rock on. So true, if only we could all hold onto that confidence we had as small people. It was almost a perfect 'unawareness'; eating when you're full, being active as 'play' from sun up to sun down, having that awesome 'flavor of expression' when it came to 'fashion', endless energy and contentment in just being where we were (on the floor, in the sun, in the sand pit, under the table :)
Go mom! High five. hahaha :)

Good mom! I love the Mother's day video diary idea. I love it that you focused on what you want for your daughter (rather than on what our husbands didn't do for us.)
      I am inspired

The striking thing abt you is that ur not materialistic. You appreciate what really matters to a person. Now that we're adults, somehow things that made us who we are just doesnt matter anymore..but money & how successful we are. I pledge for my daughters to be like you as well.I do feel we know what is good for our kids..but we do get distracted with other things! Kudos to Super-mom like u mizfit!

      Hey Miz,
This is completely awesome! Being comfortable with who we are - what a great place to be at. Sometimes we can really learn a lot from kids...if we're just open to what they're "saying"...

Once again, great post! I love your thoughts & sentiments & that your daughter learns to love herself from you! So perfect a message for Mother's day! I will send to my stepdaughters again since there are 7 grandchildren there!

OK, I am still jealous of those biceps! Even when I was 40, my biceps did not look that good! I actually think I have learned more since 40 & they are better now than then but I still love yours!

You are awesome in too many ways to count! Lucky Tornado & RenMan!

      Happy mom's day to you!

      Carla,
Really great message for all girls! I try to teach my girls to "be the Wizard"--instead of going to SEE the Wizard, I teach them to BE the Wizard. :) http://www.themogulmom.com/2008/11/09/be-the-wizard/comment-page-1/

Thanks for sharing!! Happy Mother's Day!

Pubsgal here! I *loved* this! I want the same for my son and daughter: to be healthy and strong and *themselves* in mind, body, and spirit.

Love the post! Wouldn't it be a great gift to your daughter to have her open this up every Mother's Day as she grows up?

Loved the video and so agree with you. IF we could all just love ourselves for even, WHERE WE ARE RIGHT NOW. Life/exerise...it is all such a journey.

Happy Mother's Day Miz!! Love the message to your daughter. So true. I would wish that same message for my Mom all of these years. Since someone else commented about wanting your biceps, can I have your collarbones? I want some collarbones. ;) Enjoy your day tomorrow!
