According to researchers in Seattle, women who eat a mid-morning snack have slower weight-loss progress than those women who skip the a.m. snack and plow on through until their lunchtime meal.
The researchers speculate that mid-morning snackers may be more prone to mindless eating and take in too many calories. Hmm, maybe we're not quite awake and alert enough to manage our serving sizes? I don't know about you, but I'm never fully awake until after 10, even though I wake up pretty early!
