      flourless cake
chocolate presentation looks bad. Looks deflated, I need presentation at the table for a big Holiday such as Thanksgiving!

about the cheesecake. 1; Cheesecake tastes much much better when made a day or two in advance.
however, make sure it's in a sealed container because it will absorb smells that are in your fridge.
2;do not skimp on the quality of the cherry preserves. 3; buy the cream cheese in a tub. It's usually less expensive and softens quicker. don't bother with the neufunchetel, it doesn't save many calories.
4; allow the eggs to be room temp as well. 5; almond extract gives it a nice kick, along with a few generous dashes of nutmeg. Enjoy!

Take the chocolate cake off the rimmed plate, place on white lace, sprinkle top with powdered sugar and guest will love it. Hey it is chocolate

The Pear and Apricot Tart looks simply delicious! Very similar to one of our favorite Thanksgiving sweet treats made with apples.

Flourless chocolate cake always looks much better in person than in photos. Stick a big bowl of freshly-whipped cream next to it, and people will think they're looking at heaven.

I'm trying the chocolate cake with no flour. I have a brother who is gluten intolerent. Glad to hear it is good. You can always dress it up to look great.

I see this as an opportunity. It is creaming, "Cherry pie filling to me." And, the container is baked in. Granish with a sprig of mint in the center, and whipped cream around the outer rim to cover the unevenness. Liquids seek their own level, so the pie filling will settle flat. Cherry or strawberry are nicely paired with chocolate.

I made the Flourless Chocolate cake yesterday. I used a heart-shaped spring-form pan. The cake looked amazing. Really. It didn't look "deflated" at all. It looked like it was filled with chocolatey goodness; Cause it was. I dusted it with confectioner's sugar and served it with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. All of my guests, from the three year-old to the 73-year old LOVED it! Heavenly.

OMG: presentation is more important than taste? Silly, silly women. Flourless chocolate cake is one of the most incredible chocolate indulgences one can make on their own. Refresh your mind to include this image as THE most incredilbe presentation of flourless chocolate cake. It's ridiculously delish!! And if you want to top it with a raspberry coulis or serve it sliced on cake plates with a raspberry coulis design on the plate, you will forever be remembered as the woman who gave her thankful guests this incredibly succulent memory. And along the way... get over it! Perfection is a thing of the past. Honesty is in. This is an honest (not store bought) representation of flourless chocolate cake.

The pear and apricot pie is delicious. Instead of 1/2 cup of dried apricot, try 1/4 dried apricot and 1/4 cup dried cranberry.

I agree with the previous post-it is an absolute must to have a nice presentation at the table when serving to guests. That said, let us all take note on the lovely Pear Tart. It looks so inviting and the presentation is lovely. That's what you want to serve at the table, not something that looks as though you've just been through boot-camp training, and your kitchen was used as the training ground. It has to be elegant and classy if you want to make that impression on your guest that really do care that they made the effort to show-up and indulge in your feast that you've prepared and set before them to enjoy. Allow an impression to be made, whether it's serving the neighbor, a business client, your boss or even the in-laws. It's the pride that will shine through when all is said and done, and when you do get kuddos from that very assuming, hard-to please guest, you will walk away satisfied and probably be more inclined to entertain again. We need to bring gatherings amongst friends and families back again. Remember what means the most, by coming together and breaking bread again. I'll bet that the average American household doesn't even sit down together, as a family, in order to have their dinner. We need to get back to basics in this country and I do believe that food is a way that can collectively bring us together. If nothing, but for a good time. Food creates memories and good food can last in the mind's eye for years and years to come.
