Poinsettias can be picked up rather inexpensively and add instant holiday cheer. (Note: If you are a pet owner or have small children, you may want to skip the Poinsettia as it is poisonous.)
Rosemary
Stores such as Home Depot often have Christmas tree shaped rosemary available. Use it as a decoration during the holidays and plant it in the spring for continued use as an herb.
Leftover Greens
Leftover greens from the Christmas tree can be used to decorate a coffee table or sideboard.
