Monthly Career

Don't go overboard with your career planning on the 1st. Sure, go ahead and think about changes you might want to make in the new year. Would you like to move to a cubicle with more natural light? Would you like to try your hand at managing your company's social media resources? Do you think it might be nice to meet some of the people in marketing? Great! But don't spend too much time planning crazy things like painting the entire office building bright pink or walking in and quitting as soon as the work year starts: It's a passing mood, promise. You are feeling very, very, very good and way, way more in control of your career destiny on the very positive 6th and 7th. By the slightly upheaval-prone (especially at home) 12th, 13th and 14th, you don't have so much energy left to focus on work. That's okay. Definitely do your best to compromise, especially on work projects, on the 19th, 20th and 21st. A few deep conversations point you in a new direction on the 24th, 25th and 26th. Great. Pick up a colleague's dry cleaning for them on the 30th.

DAILY MOMSCOPE

It's hard to focus your energies early in the day. No sweat; at least you and your tyke are having fun. Later, someone may urge you to take a financial risk. Keep in mind that challenging times don't always call for extreme measures.

DAILY OVERVIEW

You finally get the respect you deserve -- and it's about time! Your great energy helps you push through a plan or project that should have been started ages ago, but at least you've made progress.

DAILY FOODSCOPE

The proper equipment can really make all the difference, especially if you're trying to make something new. So invest in a copper bowl before you embark on something that calls for a lot of whipped egg whites.

DAILY BEAUTYSCOPE

Got a clear style vision in mind? Well, you have the wherewithal to make it a reality too! Just make a list of the makeup you'll need, the stores you'll want to visit or the stylist who can help you, and then get to it.
