The Puerto Rican telenovela actress and TV host was only 33 years old when she felt a small bump on her right breast; she immediately took action by contacting her physician. The mammography showed positive for breast cancer, but the good news-she caught it early.
Today, she's in total remission and has dedicated herself to bringing breast health awareness to Latinas. Her most important piece of advice: "I tell moms to teach their daughters how to self-exam so they understand their breasts from menstruation on and learn what is normal and when do they need to worry."
