Fall merchandise is already hitting high-end department stores. By mid-July through early August, most, if not all stores, should have a good stock of fall clothing and fall trends. One fall trend to look for is the color green. Green doesn't make it as a standalone trend often. If green is your favorite color you are in luck this fall.
How to Wear Green in Early Fall
Much of your summer wardrobe can still be worn. If you are a follower of fashion trends your summer wardrobe is probably filled with brighter colors. Add to those summer brights with bright greens. The easiest way to add bright greens to your wardrobe is to go with bright accessories. Find a bright green handbag or clutch, neon green belt, bright green jewelry like Jade or a bright green pump.
Get Pretty With Mixed Greens
You don't have to be monochromatic with your greens. You can color block your greens by wearing a green top with a different colored bottom or different shades of greens. Choose a pretty printed blouse or dress in multiple shades of greens. This look is good for the entire fall fashion season. Graphic print dresses in multiple shades of green on a solid backdrop are very current and sexy when the solid backdrop is black.
Save Rich Greens for Evening
Greens in jewel-tones or on rich, lush fabrics like velvet are best for evening wear. An emerald halter jumpsuit with a gold, multi-chain belt is stunning for glamorous nighttime fun. A velvet evening gown in a dark green is a great formal look for an office holiday party.
Muted and Military Greens Are Great Day Looks
As late fall approaches, take your color intensity down a few notches for daytime. Look towards more muted, neutral and grayed-out greens. Military jackets in loden or hunter green are trendy for fall. A khaki-colored sweater with matching leggings and a deep olive suede boot is a casual chic look for fall and early winter.
These tips will help you load up on your greens for fall. Green can be a difficult color to wear so make sure to hold up the garment to your face to ensure it does not give you a sickly pallor or wash your skin tone out. Don't just stop with apparel either. Look for shades of green in your makeup choices as well to complete your fall look.
