I try not to attend many weddings these days. Brides have become extremely self-centered (it's MY DAY!!!) and have forgotten they're supposed to be hosting a party, not staring in their own drama.

Have your wedding on whatever day you want - guests don't HAVE to attend if they can't get the day off work! Just be prepared for that.

i am currently trying to plan my wedding and am torn between a very expensive place and a lesser expensive place to hold a reception. The very expensive place is across from the church but way too much money. I am being mindful of my guest but in all honesty the alternate location is 15 minutes away. Sometimes when making decisions regarding a wedding you need to think about you and your budget. I have had so many of my family state that it's easier to go across the street. While that is true it's too much of a problem for me.

I think a wedding is about the bride and groom. If we want to have our wedding on a Friday or Sunday to save money, we will. If you have a problem with it not being on Saturday then you pay for it. If you don't like our food selection, too bad. We based our food selection on our tastes, not yours. If this offends you, go home.
