With all the soft core pornography thrown at us everywhere we look, it is hard to remain chaste. We are told to put no worthless thing before our eyes, but we cannot live in America today without being constantly bombarded with images that play on our hormones. It makes sense that the outcome would be sexual immorality. But, we still have a choice. And we still have a God who can save us and forgive us. Without His power, I doubt we can truly change. But, He wants us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, which can happen through the power of the Holy Spirit as we read HIS word and pray, developing a relationship with our Creator.

u true all couple hav fights but none lasts long coz a lot of tension in ones mind does that

I actually do think that these phrases can help lessen whatever welled up emotions you have and prevent an argument to escalate. I've shared it on my mommy blog as well.

Marriage is not religion. yes many get married in their religion building but when it comes to day today it is not religion. that is like saying you can not have friends without religion, you can not love with out religion. we are alive and are social creatures. we marry because we are committed to only each other not because we believe in a hire power. stop being so closed minded and trying to bring hate and war where there needs to be love and acceptance. GLBT discrimination needs to stop.

To all women...this is written from a woman's point of view. In an argument, all a man has to hear is "Stop talking or forget about getting any of THIS tonight!"

Also, saying things like "it helps me just to talk to you"?! REALLY?! SERIOUSLY?! NO! What men hear after 15 seconds in ANY argument is "WHA WHA WHA WHA"...just like the teacher in the Charlie Brown cartoons. I am not being insensitive here...it's what men hear. By design, men evolved to be hunters...to kill animals for eating...inherently, they are not geared for sensitivity...if they were...our species would have NEVER made it to this point!

If you want to win an argument with a man, do one thing...DON'T BRING UP THE PAST TO TRY AND PROVE YOUR POINT. If you do that, he will actually realize it...because the argument didn't involve something it ALWAYS involves! The point is, DON'T do something you usually do in an argument...men recognize such a change from the norm.

"We let you watch sports"? Oh really! How many times have I heard that? Here's one thing to do, not just try: I say, see ya, I 'm going fishing.....

While all that is great advise if you can put it into practice, I found that the easiest way to stop a fight in it's track is to (right in the heat of things) look a my partners mouth with great concern and say "sweety, you have something in your teeth....looks like spinach" ......in a nanosecond, all the energy and attention goes to the way she looks and the fight is history!

Treating and tending to your relationship should never be handled through "quick quotes." Speak from your heart, and if he/she loves you, they'll listen. Simple enough, right? If your not happy in what you're trying to work on then get out of that relationship! Not every relationship requires hours of talking about feelings, too many head butts and arguments is a sign you're trying too hard to make a relationship work. Just be happy!
