#1 should be when you are driving. It's so stupid to think you can do these things at the same time.

:-) hi there Lisa... just fyi, texting with CAPS LOCKED (large letters) is considered not very polite as it means you are shouting:) funny one, but true :) So, if you are drunk and shouting - ouch!:-)But if you are angry and don't want to use aggressive language, use CL instead...

That's why I'm not dating any guy right now (nor plan to). Too many rules. Too many rules for women; how come we don't send these tips to men, btw? How come it's okay to tell a woman she can't say this, or do that, or to be a mind-reader so she doesn't upset her boyfriend, but it's okay for guys to upset their girlfriends? Texting while drunk is stupid - for BOTH genders. Period!

Women are just as much to blame because they let it happen to themselves; they want relationships because they want love and commitment; yet, they sacrifice those needs to satisfy the jerks who don't want those things. When are you going to wake up, ladies? I'm a woman who woke up learning from other people's mistakes, and proudly so. I'm proud that I'm not a slut, glad that I'm not a single mother, and healthy because I don't have any STDs. I'll wait to get involved until I find one of those rare ducks who actually wants more than a lay - not sure if they exist anymore, but I guess anything's possible. But if not, that's fine - I'd rather be alone than unhappy. Too much hypocrisy these days for me to be interested to get in "the game".

It is TRUE. I have been close to a guy that lost his girl friend, just because she got angry at receiving numerous text messages.

Yup...I'm guilty of the angry texting...don't text when you're angry PERIOD because your response to a text message can carry an angry tone even though you may not be mad at that particular person...well depending on the message...fight the temptation!

I only text when it involves alcohol. Most guys like to share beer, or even better if you bring beer.
more if there is a game on.
That is, the only appropriate time to txt really.
Cuz most guys don't like txt drama.

Also, sometimes their is a delay in text messages. They dont always come right away. Had this problem with a friend one night. I sent the text at 9 and she didnt get it til 12.

Very true!! I texted my male friend telling him if he needed some heat, and luckily he stopped me before I said more. Which also proved to me that he can be trusted even more, and didn't take advantage of my status. Stay away from the cell pone when drunk

I have been married to my wife for 4 years. Everytime we get into an argument she texts me how she feels instead of telling me face to face. A couple of days ago it happend again, this time I ripped my cell phone in half in front of her. If we can't sit down and settle something face to face instead of sending text just forget it!! (The bad thing is we were in the same room no further than 3 feet away from each other).

True.Text messages are easily misinterpreted.Even if it was not your intention,they can come off as mean,crude,rude and angry.If you are angry,its better not to text.My Ex-girlfriend used to annoy me with angry texts and I was also guilty of sending meaner counter-attacks that broke her apart,such that she would cry about how much my text hurts when we meet.It became a cycle,but she was the first one to send paranoid texts that didnt help to bring the gentleman out of me. However,your article has helped me a lot.I will never make destructive counter-attacks again.They only make me feel guilty when the woman gets hurt.But they are sometimes good for creating sexual tension.I am not a guy who starts wars but when provoked,I can be really mean.Most women like testing a guy who is slow to anger.

Angry texting....gush, guilty as charged. It has done me more harm than good. When I am angry and send a text, I bare my mind and pour out my anger like a venom. Most times it is after i'm done with the texting that I start regrettng every bit of my action. Whenver you are angry, pleeeeeease keep the phone away as far as possible!!

Please don't forget when he's at work. It's one thing to send a line or two throughout the day, but inevitably you will be let down because we get busy.

i try not to be around ppl period when im angry let alone my fone but i have to do somethin readib helps or watchin tv and yellin at the carters it takes it a away!!!
