About to give up on relationships? Don't!

Bad first dates, heinous set-ups, and gut-wrenching breakups. After each and every single terrible experience with dating there will always be that little voice inside of our head that says, "I am done with dating!"
It is so easy to go to your grocery store, pick up that pint of ice cream, watch bad television, get into your pajamas and hide under the covers from the rest of the world and never show your face to the dating world again.

Sure, we all have had our hearts broken, but by the same token we also have experienced some great things with relationships. How quick we are to go straight for the negative when our love life disappoints us and yet it is rare that we ever ponder over the good memories.
Below are five reasons to not give up on dating. Because we don't give up on our life goals…why should we give up on our dating goals?
From your very first love to your current dating status; discovery and evolution are the two things that will continue to happen in your dating life. I mean…as an adult are you still lusting after your New Kids on the Block poster? No. That is because you have evolved from adolescence to adulthood and you have matured, as have your dating preferences. Dating is a perfect way to find out as an adult what you like/dislike, what you are willing to put up with, and what exactly you are searching for.

It is extremely easy after a breakup to jump on the first train that is headed toward Bittertown. However, like wearing the color yellow when you know shouldn't, the color of "bitter" is not a good shade on anybody. When you are putting out those negative vibes, anybody can read that and will instantly be turned away. It is a pretty simple philosophy that "you get what you put out into the universe." So the next time you are in a funk and your friends invite you out, leave that negative attitude at the door, put on that positive color you are meant to wear and watch as the dating universe throws you back some amazing vibes. You just might be surprised how the dating gods will treat you.
After a few unsuccessful dates and your online dating profile keeps sending you people that you are not a match with, it can leave any singleton feeling rather deflated. However, instead of putting pressure on the first date, or even the second date for that matter, how about doing something crazy like actually being carefree and having fun? Remember the word "fun"? Before everything became so serious and needed to be defined? Let go. You will pinch yourself when you actually find yourself smiling on a date!
One of the many perks of dating someone is that excitement you get in the beginning. However, people tend to lose that butterfly flip after being involved with someone for a long period of time. We all know that that certain "sparkle" you had in the beginning of your relationship tends to fade and that couples have to work on keeping that feeling going. However, in the beginning of the dating phase, you will have that perk of getting excited when you have the perfect date or when he holds your hand for the first time. Why deny yourself that feeling by not getting back out there? Plus, they say when you are genuinely happy that your skin is just as radiant - and who doesn't want glowing skin? Reap those benefits.
This is a biggie. Most of us go into the dating arena in hopes to meet our partner in crime and never have to deal with the downsides that come with dating ever again. We've met our match and off into the sunset we go. However, our next great chapter is not going to find us sitting at home and being negative. We must go out into the world and declare what is ours. If being in love forever is something we are searching for, then like anything else in life, we have to put forth the effort in order to achieve a brighter dating future.
After all is said and done, we have to be true to ourselves, own our actions, and believe that we all deserve the love that we searching for. Why waste your energy on giving up, when fighting for something that you really want makes you appreciate it that much more once you finally achieve it? Good luck!
