Rachel Leigh Cook got to know Ryan Reynolds from 2001-2002 before he really launched his career. Remember when she was in She's All That? We always thought she was sexy, and that film really proved it! They hit it off so well when they met, he followed her out to the set of her movie and they then spent a year being overly romantic to each other. After their split, Cook found her soulmate shortly after and has been married to Daniel Gillies since 2004.

"You Oughta Know" Ryan Reynolds once dated one of our favorite singers, 38-year-old Alanis Morissette. They actually met at Drew Barrymore's birthday party back in 2002. The pair got engaged in 2004 and broke up by 2007. He spent five years with this beautiful lady and would often say they felt married already! Morissette went on to marry Mario Treadway in 2010 and they have a child together.

Scarlett Johansson
Ryan Reynolds didn't surprise us back in 2008 when he married the sexy blonde 27-year-old actress Scarlett Johansson. What shocked us the most about this private couple was their divorce three years later in 2011. Scarlett is considered a modern day sex symbol, and we always hoped she'd be around to sing her husband "Happy Birthday" just like Marilyn.

The sparks were visible in Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds' hit film The Proposal in 2009, so after both going through devastating break ups, it's no surprise that the two leaned on one another. Bullock looked for comfort after her split with Jesse James, and we're not sure she could have rebounded any hotter. Reynolds was getting over his split with Scarlett, and we don't mind that he found it with the gorgeous Sandra Bullock. After the rumors swirled for nearly two years, the couple called it quits.

In May of 2011, Ryan Reynolds was linked to his Green Lantern co-star Charlize Theron, 37. Although never serious, the two seemed to have fun for the short months they were linked together. The relationship was never confirmed but sources told Us Weekly this birthday boy's motorcycle was outside her place a few times. They seemed to get along because they were both extremely "career focused," a source said. We wouldn't doubt it; these two would be a hot couple!

Ryan Reynolds chose one of the sexiest women alive to marry for what we hope is the last time! He chose our favorite Gossip Girl Blake Lively! The 25-year-old beauty hit it off with Mr. Reynolds in 2011 on the set of Green Lantern, and from there they bought a home together in New York and planned a super romantic wedding, one they somehow managed to keep very private. We hope Ryan Reynolds has a very happy 36th birthday with his blushing bride!
