It's been nothing but drama for Girls Aloud pop star Cheryl Cole: Earlier this year she filed for divorce from her cheatin' soccer hubby, Ashley Cole, and just this month she contracted a virulent form of malaria after a trip to Tanzania. Now doctors have baned Cole from sex and booze while she's on the mend. Can't a girl catch a break?! A source told The Sun newspaper, "Cheryl managed to summon enough energy for a giggle when she was given the news about a sex ban. It's the last thing on her mind right now." At least she's still got a sense of humor.
But Cheryl Cole isn't the only celeb who has endured a sex ban. Meet the poor stars who've been forbidden from bumpin' uglies:
Splash NewsMatthew McConaughey is one of the last celebs I'd expect to abide by a sex ban. But after the birth of their second child, McConaughey's girlfriend Camila Alves told the press she placed a Do Not Enter sign over her baby tunnel for the next 40 days. "Where I come from [Brazil], we believe in something we call a 40-day break after the baby," Alves said. "By that I mean no sex, light, healthy food, no trips to the gym. Then, after 40 days, you are good to go." Good to know!
If anyone needs a time-out from sex, it's Tiger Woods. When the pervy putter entered a rehab clinic for his "sex addiction," he was allegedly forced to sign a celibacy treatment for 18 weeks of treatment, plus another 90 days after he was discharged. That must have been hell for such a tiger in the sack.

Splash NewsLady Gaga doesn't look like she'd be a strict boss, but Mama Monster allegedly banned all her dancers from having sex while they're on tour. "She wants them to give 100 percent on stage so she doesn't want them wasting energy on bedtime action," the source said. "In saucy routines during the show she pretends to have sex with some of the dancers and wants these bits to look as real as possible. She's a perfectionist and wants every aspect of the tour just right." Hey, I'd do anything for Gaga, too.
Splash NewsAs if marriage to Kevin Federline weren't bad enough! A few years ago, during Britney Spears' "crazy period," Jamie and Lynne Spears allegedly imposed a six-month sex ban on the pop tart. The notorious stage parents claimed her choices in men were harming her mental health - probably true - and preached temporary abstinence. "Their worst nightmare is that she gets involved with someone else who's just trying to use her for her money or to further their own career," claimed a source. That might be the first time in the history of the Spears family that someone gave good advice.
Splash NewsThe cast of "Glee" are a bunch of horny horndoggers; series co-creator Ryan Murphy says his one rule is "don't do it in your trailer," but "they've broken that rule on many occasions!" Unfortunately Murphy didn't drop any names, leaving us to guess who is doin' it in their trailers.

Splash NewsPosh and Becks might be the steamiest couple in the Northern Hemisphere, but even they cool it down sometimes. The couple reportedly put nookie on the back burner for three months while David Beckham was forced to wear an Aircast boot after an operation on his Achilles tendon. "He has to lie flat on his back in bed and not move, otherwise he could cause further damage," said a source. We're not sure why sex would hurt his Achilles tendon, exactly, but maybe mega-hot celebrities have sex differently than we mortals do.
Celebs don't just swear off sex for medicinal reasons - sometimes they're just tired! Katie Price, aka "Jordan," apparently put her ex-husband Peter Andre on a four-month sex ban while she was preoccupied training for the London Marathon and horseback riding. Apparently, Andre lost his patience waiting and the sex ban contributed to their divorce.
