Advice from our guy friends. This week they answer the question, Why do guys shave their balls?
Straight Married Guy (Fred): I have no f*cking idea! Why would you do that? First of all, how is it even done? I'm guessing you have to pull the skin and stretch it out to get a razor to go over it. Jeez. Ok, then you've got to avoid nicks. Yikes! Then it starts to grow back. Yeah, that's where I want stubble, ON MY BALLS! Ladies, imagine having stubble under your breasts. Scratchy, itchy tits. No thank you. Enough with the war on hair. Stop the madness! (Do you know the pube dos and don'ts?)
Gay Married Guy (Jon Ross): As Dr. Evil famously said, "There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum, it's breathtaking. I suggest you try it." Just be careful: shaving your balls is a very sensitive topic (literally) and ultimately, in my opinion, an activity that is not usually worth the effort. It's true a smooth, bald sac is pleasing to the touch and something of a novelty, but to me it's not especially sexy or erotic. The process of shaving the testicles is very time-consuming, and as a general rule I keep razors as far away from my gonads as possible. Additionally, the fear of an ingrown hair is enough for me to keep the blade away from down there, save for special occasions. As usual, it's different strokes for different folks: some people like extra hairy balls and some like a shaved ball sac. Personally, I like well-manicured, but not overly done-up, nether regions. But finding a freshly shaved set of balls on my husband would be a nice surprise, mostly because I would know he was putting effort into having fun with our sex life.

Straight Single Guy (Chris): Guys shave their balls for two reasons. 1. Because we like to have them licked. 2. Because it makes us look bigger. To elaborate, not only is it just plain nice for us to want to provide a clean, smooth surface for our partner to lick, but licked, clean, smooth surfaces feel better than licked, hairy surfaces. Once again, I'll point to ShaveEverywhere.com for further support of the "extra optical inch" and also my preferred grooming method. I do indeed own a Philips BodyGroom and I do shave everywhere.
