Awesome Engagement Photos Inspired by Disney Movies

Pumpkins turning into carriages, magic carpet rides taking us to a whole new world, and princes in disguise are just some of the things that make us collectively sigh. So when we saw these Disney-themed engagement shoots, we just about swooned. Check out the creative shoots below, and maybe you'll start wishing upon a star, too.

    1. Up

Lynnette and James's favorite movie is Up, so they tied in the whimsical details and elements from the movie to their engagement photo shoot. In case you're unfamiliar with the movie: The main characters, Carl and Ellie, were childhood sweethearts who had dreamed of going to Paradise Falls. When Ellie passes away before they could make the trip, Carl ties thousands of balloons to his house to fulfill their promise. James's grape soda badge and, of course, the house make special appearances!

    2. Lady and The Tramp

How could anyone eat pasta the same way again after watching Lady and the Tramp? April and Ryan channeled the iconic scene with their dog Mochie looking on in the background. And Mochie was more than happy to help the couple finish off any leftovers!

    3. Toontown

For Sean and Kelly, two animators who fell in love at Disneyland, the Union Station in Los Angeles was an "almost too good to be true" location for their vintage Toontown-themed engagement shoot. After the photo session, they utilized their animation skills to add in the characters.

    4. Alice in Wonderland

Remember when Alice fell down the rabbit hole? Who knew she'd emerged into a Tim Burton-styled engagement shoot! Alice in Wonderland is the movie that Erin says she'd take to a deserted island with her, and her fiancé Matt went along for the ride. It even started to snow during this shoot, so kudos to Erin for staying in character!

it was the best. it was most natural looking, in my opinion. the other ones were too staged.

I'd do Beauty and the Beast,, ballroom scene...Or like Little Mermaid, when Ariel first becomes human and Eric sees her, that would be cool! I'm a huge disney fan, can you tell?? lol
      • Anon 4 months ago
it'd be more fun to be Ariel when she's got fins! seriously!

Beauty and the Beast would be awesome! Of course, preferably with the guy as the prince and not dressed up as the beast :p

my brother and his fiance are both into art and painting escpecially and so they bought a wedding dress and nice suit from a thrift store and stood in front of a white back drop and splattered bright neon paint on each other. It turned out so cute!! I wish I could add a pic to comments LOL

They are really cute and sweet, but I am really curious how much these cost the couples because I am sure they weren't cheap. Still I am a sap for the romantic stuff and I loved seeing these.

I'd love to do a themed photoshoot!! I want The Notebook theme. :) Though if choosing Disney, it HAS to be Beauty and the Beast. But my wedding is currently already that theme.

I love this idea! My theme? Sleeping Beauty!

I would use the boat scene in the little mermaid, with the reeds and a weeping willow in the background covered in twinkle lights as the "fireflies" :) there's actually a golf course 20minutes outside of where i live that has a small pond in the middle with a bridge the leads to a man made island with a weeping willow on it and reeds surrounding the island, they had brought in swans and there are constantly other wildlife there as well... perfect setting :) i'm glad i'm not the only one who's thought of this kind of idea! btw, i only know of the location because i had my sr prom dinner reception on that island years ago, haha.

Up, in my opinion, was the best themed wedding out of all the pictures...especially the picture of them in the tent. They were all so beautifully done though. Thank you for sharing :)

I feel really sorry for some of the people commenting on this page. It must suck living such a negative, boring life. Other people like to live and express themselves. These shoots are all wonderful, and if they wanted to spend the money to have them done it is the couple's choice to do so.
