    What Would You Do?: Boyfriend Fakes Plane Crash/Certain Death in “Cute” Marriage Proposal

    Ryan Thompson was flying his girlfriend, Carlie Kennedy, on a flight above Chicago when he faked an emergency, which led Carlie to believe they were crashing into the water. Thompson handed Kennedy an emergency manual. "I felt our lives depending on me making it through that checklist," she later said.

    This is where it gets adorable. The manual said, "Initiate the ring engagement procedure." And you know what kind of rings HE was talking about. Here's the video Thompson made:




    "Honey, I need you to stay calm. The flight controls aren't responding. Will you marry me? HAHHAHAHAA! OH WHAT FUN!"

    There was one cute part, though:

    "So there was no emergency?"
    "No."

    I guess I'm just a sucker for a happy ending. I do hope, though, that they never DO have an emergency flying together. Mrs. Thompson will NEVER believe it. Ryan Thompson has officially cried wolf.

    Some people told Kennedy they would have slapped their boyfriend for pulling something like this - Thompson must have known that would not be the case. What would you have done?
