Last week, I had dinner with a few friends, including an acupuncturist. She was fabulous, and, as we were chatting, she told us something very surprising! Apparently, massages can make you stressed...
Tension builds up around our spines, so when you're stressed, you don't want to focus on that area, she explained. If your man had a rough day, a massage is one of the worst things you can do! You want focus on areas far from the spine, like hands and feet.
So what's the best way to chill someone out?
"Rub his tummy!" she said, adorably, explaining that tummy rubs bring stress away from the spine. Whether you're a believer in eastern medicine or not, tummy rubs are a pretty sweet way to mellow out your boyfriend, don't you think? (This goofy gadget will totally relax you and ease your stress.)
I'm curious: Do you like massages? When you're stressed, do they relax you or make you feel, oddly, more tense? Have you ever had a male massage therapist? And do you like tummy rubs? What makes relaxes you after a bad day? (A stiff drink?) I'd love to hear! P.S. Men are just like kittens and puppies!
