DEAR WHYS GUY:
My guy loves for me to go downtown (big surprise). However, I can't handle it when the area isn't squeaky clean. I like to make sure that I'm "fresh and minty" for moments like that. Why does he expect me to go downtown when the street sweepers haven't been by yet? We've been over and over this and he wonders why I'm not a frequenter of the district.

DEAR REDBOOK READER:
Wow, this is deep. Anytime is a good time for a trip downtown. Most guys aren't that concerned with the urban blight that maybe afflicting the neighborhood, they're just interested in making sure there is a high speed transit line that gets you patronizing the area. So do your business there when you know the streets are safe. Initiate frequent visits after he jumps out of the shower. If you make it clear through you actions (and not simply your words) that cleanliness will be rewarded with increased love and attention, then you will be amazed at how much cleaner he'll be. Like I said, wow.
