Terry Allen Lester (credit: Waseca County via minnesota.cbslocal.com) We understand the less-than-pleasant feelings someone might harbor towards an ex, but sometimes you just have to let it go and move on. Sure, breaking up sucks, but we're all adults here, right?
Not so much for one Minnesota man who rigged a "sex toy" with explosives and tried to disguise it as a Christmas gift to an ex-girlfriend.
According to CBS Minnesota,Terry Allen Lester, 37, "has been charged with felony counts of creating an explosive device and making terroristic threats." The, ahem, device, was found in the apartment Lester was sharing with another ex and second woman.
Though he was forced out of the apartment by the landlord, Lester left several bags behind, one of which held a container labeled "Christmas Gifts." (This already seems suspicious. Isn't it everyone's Christmas-time prerogative to go to any lengths to HIDE presents, not label them so obviously?)
Lester apparently told one of his roommates about his plan to give a rigged sex toy to an ex-gilfriend, pull the trigger and "blow [her] up," causing the roommate to alert the police when the container was found. Inside, authorities discovered "a sex toy...that had been modified with gun powder and buck shot, which were connected to a trigger inside the battery port."
It gets worse: they found more materials that suggested Lester was planning to make two more of these contraptions for other women he'd had rough endings with.
Let's all say it together: OUCH.
