First, thanks for your feedback on my blind date with Lauren. I'm planning on giving her a ring soon to see if she wants to hang out again. It's definitely not a sure thing, but that's OK-I'm taking a que sera sera approach to life these days.
So after hearing me wax rhapsodic about Halter Top Day, I wouldn't blame you for assuming that exposed flesh is all I care about when it comes to your summer wardrobe. In fact, I always prefer a well-dressed woman who's not showing a lot over her unfortunately-attired twin who's rockin' some serious cleavage. With that in mind, here are four looks I've recently noticed on the sidewalks of NYC that leave me panting like a Labrador in August:
In my humble opinion, aviator shades look great on both sexes.
Small Sunglasses: Are giant Jackie O shades still cool? I hope not. Y'all have beautiful faces--there's no need to hide behind lenses the size of airplane windows.

Fitted button-down shirts: Buttons are fun. I like all of these.

Strappy sandals: I don't know why, but gladiator sandals really do it for me. Maybe it's a light bondage thing? Or because Romans are so damn sexy? Regardless, I may be in the male minority on this one.
Cut-off shorts: What's good for the goose is good for the gander. All joking aside, the girl in this photo could give Daisy Dukes a run for her money. I can understand why you might not agree with me, but how can your argue with professional fashionista Tracey Lomrantz, who also digs the look?
Are you into any of these styles? What are you looking forward to wearing this summer? What summer looks do you think are sexy?
